Zoological Park in Kanpur


Kanpur Zoological Park is arranged on the side of mechanical city of Kanpur. The Zoo is spread in a region of 76.56 hectare. It is a piece of lavish green Allen-backwoods. The development of the Park began in the year 1971 and has been created on the advanced administration standards. It opened for open on fourth February 1974. Over the most recent three decades the Zoological Park has assumed a significant job being taken care of by untamed life and consciousness of masses with respect to natural life protection.

Agra Fort in Agra



The Agra Fort, one of the widely recognized architectural marvels of the Mughal period has its origin in the Badalgarh Fort.

The fort was besieged by Mahmud of Ghazni and was lost in times and it was only recognized after it was taken over by the Chauhan Rajputs. The earlier fort of Badalgarh was only altered by Akbar to suit his requirements is based on various assertions of historians and archeologists. The fort, as it stands today, was captured by Akbar is also clear from his own inscription.

Jain Glass Temple in Kanpur


Built in beautiful architecture, Jain Glass Temple is a key attraction of Kanpur city.  The temple also holds much religious significance among Jain people. Completely built of glass, the temple fascinates the visitors by its impressive look. Walls, ceilings and pillars are beautifully adorned with enamel and glass. Amazing mural paintings done on the stained glass depicts the incidences from Jain scriptures. Along with the statue of Lord Mahavir, the temple also houses 23 statues of other Jain Tirthankaras.

Itmad Ud Daulah's Tomb in Agra



The Itmad-Ud-Daulah tomb is a beautifully ornamented structure built by Jahangir's Begam Noor Jahan as a memorial of her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg in the city of Agra. The tomb has a pietra dura inlay and lattice work in the marble screens. Before Taj Mahal was built, this was the most famous structure in the Agra city. The tomb built in the year 1628, is situated to the North of Agra fort in the bank of the river Yamuna. The Itmad-Ud -Daulah tomb is sometimes referred as baby Taj.

Sikandra Complex (Akbar's Tomb) in Agra



Sikandra Complex containing Akbar’s tomb is really an architectural marvel in Agra. The Great Mughal emperor began the construction of this complex in 1605, embedding various architectural styles. Jehangir, Akbar’s son, completed the Sikandra Complex after Akbar’s death. This majestic and imposing tomb is located in the scenic surroundings of a gorgeous garden. Akbar’s tomb is a perfect structure constructed using red sandstones and glossy white marbles.

Fatehpur Sikri near Agra

Dayalbagh in Agra



Located 15 Km from Agra, Dayalbagh is a unique pilgrimage and tourist site in India. The memorial of Shiv Dayal Sahib the founder of the Radhasoami Satsang movement, who started this religious organization in 1861, is located in Dayalbagh, Agra. Clock Tower in Lucknow



  It might interest you to know that the 67-meter tall tower is the highest clock tower in the nation . Also, the principal wheel of the clock is one and a half inches thick and has a diameter of 2 ft, which makes it larger than  the ultra – famous Westminister Clock . The tower though called ‘Satkhanda’ has only four storeys  because its construction was halted when its erector Nawab Muhammad Ali Shah passed away in 1840.

Jama Masjid in Lucknow



In the year 1423, Sultan Ahmed Shah constructed the Jama Masjid in Lucknow. It is built entirely with yellow sandstone and is known for its intricate style of design and architecture. The Jama Masjid of Lucknow is known to be one of the most beautiful mosques of India. The Jama Masjid is also known by the name of Jami Masjid in Lucknow. Bada Imambara in Lucknow



The Bara Imambara was built in the year 1784 by the fourth Nawab of Awadh known as Asaf-ud-Daula. It was built as a part of a relief project for a major famine that took place in the year 1784. The Bara Imambara of Lucknow is one of the most famous monuments of this place. It is also called Asfi Imambara after the name of the Nawab of Lucknow who got it constructed. It is an important place of worship for the Muslims who come here every year to celebrate the religious festival of Muharram.

J K Temple is one of the well known sanctuaries of Uttar Pradesh, the sanctuary is situated in Sarvodaya Nagar, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. JK Temple is otherwise called Radhakrishna Temple. The sanctuary is worked by JK Trust and which was finished on May 20, 1960. All the expense of support of this sanctuary originates from JK Trust Fund.
